For some, it can be a daunting event to navigate—especially if new to the SXSW shuffle. But it’s actually one of those experiences that require a full jump into the deep end. Just go for it.

If you’ve ever visited or stopped over in the land of my ancestors, you’ve probably come across this Hawaiian travel staple – the whimsically named “Wiki-Wiki” bus. In the native Hawaiian language, the word “Wiki” means “quick”. At the Honolulu International Airport, the Wiki-Wiki bus serves as a quick way for travel-weary passengers to scoot between the various terminals.

A connected world has its benefits. And it has its downfalls. While the idea of social responsibility has been around for a while, its lessons remain important today.
In my opinion, social responsibility is about the unspoken rules of humanity. We stop when the light is red. We return a lost wallet to its owner. We help the less fortunate.

Supercomputing 2013 (SC13) celebrated its 25th year in Denver, November 18-21. With more than 10,000 attendees and 350 exhibitors, the conference brought together the international supercomputing community with a program of technical talks, tutorials and workshops. Plus, the exhibit hall featured the latest and greatest “super” cool technologies from industry, academia and government research organizations.
